IPT is a Supply Chain Management Consultancy and
Technology Supplier that offers our clients extensive
experience in a range of Management Consulting Services
and Specialised Technology Development Supply and
Implementation. After over fifteen years in senior
management and project management positions, Tony
Shuttleworth and Jim Gatsios established IPT in
1991.
Tony Shuttleworth was one of the initial licensed
consultants appointed by Business Victoria to facilitate
the government Supply chain management program with
retailers and suppliers during the early nineties.
Worked closely with the liaison team and buyers
from CML (Coles Myer Limited) and suppliers as a
facilitator in the QR (Quick Response) and EANWAY
programs.
As a result of these programs IPT recognised the
successful implementation of supply chain management
programs were being hindered by the lack of enabling
technologies across the supply chain.
Jim Gatsios with his experience in communications
as part of a telecom technology development team
and as a consultant involved in resolving supply
chain technology issues, headed a IPT team that
initially developed a number of integrated software
applications to resolve these issues. The development
of this technology has continued over the last ten
years and now IPT can offer an Enterprise the enabling
technology solution and a total Business-to-Business
solution that will support their supply chain management
strategies.
IPT, has been working with CML (Coles Myer Limited)
electronic Trading team and the liaison team over
a number of years to develop software applications
to support the CML rollout of a number of supply
chain management projects, including RPO (Reverse
Purchase Orders), Data Management and integration
applications for the CML DC’s (Distribution
Centres) in Hong Kong and Singapore. IPT has also
developed specific software applications to enable
suppliers to trade electronically with all major
retailers.
IPT also offers its EDI Bureau Service with an extensive
range of options to the small supplier to enable
them to set up a trading partnership with retailers.
IPT in 2001 developed SIPS ( Secure Internet Portal
Service) to provide an enterprise with the capability
to trade electronically and cost effectively using
a Secure Internet Gateway. SIPS, when integrated
with the IPT supply chain management software provides
the complete electronic trading and Business-to-Business
technology infrastructure.
IPT in 2002 tendered and won the Contract to implement
an Electronic Trading EDI program on behalf of the
retailer Lincraft. The program provided Lincraft
with the technology and infrastructure to send suppliers
Purchase Orders and receive ASN ‘s (Advance
Shipment Notice). IPT was also commissioned to roll
out to the 200 plus supplier base an implementation
process, providing consulting services and the supplier
EDI software.
